Aiden + Peyton | Wedding at Laurel Ridge Barn in Sioux Falls, SD
Some wedding days carry a calmness to them from the very beginning. Aiden + Peyton’s day felt exactly like that.
Their wedding day began quietly at Laurel Ridge Barn, tucked just outside the city where the trees, open fields, and soft spring light created the perfect setting for a day centered around intention and family. From the moment we arrived, everything felt grounded. No chaos. No rush. Just excitement, emotion, and people fully showing up for the two of them.
Before the ceremony, Aiden + Peyton chose to share a private first look along with personal vows. Those moments are always some of our favorites to witness because the rest of the wedding day tends to move quickly afterward. For a few minutes, it was just the two of them slowing everything down and taking in the weight of what the day truly meant.
After portraits and time with their wedding party, everyone made their way to Risen Savior Catholic Church for the ceremony. The church carried a quiet reverence that contrasted beautifully with the joy waiting outside afterward. As guests poured out of the ceremony, hugs, laughter, and congratulations filled every corner of the day.
Back at Laurel Ridge Barn, the reception space came alive quickly. One of the things we loved most about this wedding was how balanced the day felt. Emotional and meaningful without ever feeling heavy. Elegant without feeling overly formal. Every part of it reflected who Aiden + Peyton are together.
As the evening settled in, we stepped outside for sunset portraits just as the light softened across the property. Spring in South Dakota can be unpredictable, but that night gave us the kind of golden light photographers dream about. The trees glowed softly around them while the barn sat quietly in the background, creating some of our favorite portraits from the entire day.
The reception afterward felt like one long celebration of family and friendship. Guests packed the dance floor, conversations spilled across tables, and the energy never really faded for the rest of the night.
