Zoriah + Malakhi | Wedding at Fish Haul Beach in Hilton Head Island, SC
Some weddings feel large in scale. Others feel large in meaning.
Zoriah + Malakhi’s wedding at Fish Haul Beach Park was the second kind.
We first connected with these two through one of our 2025 couples, Taylor + Dawson. Dawson is Zoriah’s brother, which made this wedding feel even more meaningful to be part of. There’s something incredibly special about being invited back into a family’s story after already documenting such an important season of their lives. By the time we arrived in South Carolina, it already felt less like meeting new people and more like reuniting with familiar faces.
With only around 17 of their closest people gathered along the shoreline, the entire day felt intentional from beginning to end. Nothing was rushed. Nothing felt performative. It was simply a group of people showing up fully for two people deeply in love.
Hilton Head gave the day a softness we’ll never forget. The ocean breeze, the quiet movement of the water, and the muted coastal colors created a backdrop that somehow felt both peaceful and cinematic all at once. Fish Haul Beach especially carried this untouched beauty to it. Wide open shoreline, sea grass moving in the wind, and a kind of stillness that made every moment feel heavier in the best way.
One of the things we loved most about the day was how present everyone was. With a smaller guest count, conversations lasted longer. Hugs lingered. People laughed harder. The entire wedding felt less like a production and more like a gathering centered around love and commitment.
Aimee from Amanda Rose Weddings helped the day flow beautifully. Every detail felt thoughtful without ever feeling overwhelming, allowing Zoriah + Malakhi to stay grounded in what actually mattered.
As the sun began to fall lower over the coast, we stepped away with the two of them for portraits along the shoreline. The light reflected softly across the water while the beach slowly quieted around us. Those moments felt almost suspended in time. Just the two of them, barefoot in the sand, fully taking in the reality that they had just started a new chapter together.
Destination weddings always carry a certain kind of energy, but this one felt especially personal. Maybe it was the intimacy of the guest list. Maybe it was the calmness of the ocean. Maybe it was simply the way Zoriah + Malakhi looked at each other all day long. Whatever it was, this wedding left a lasting mark on us.
Zoriah + Malakhi, thank you for inviting us into such a meaningful part of your story. Your wedding reminded us that sometimes the smallest gatherings hold the deepest emotions, and that love never needs to be loud to be unforgettable.
Your wedding day is more than a celebration—it’s a testimony. We’d be honored to capture it with presence, love, and grace.
Photographing presence, guided by grace.
